EXCLUSIVE: Mrunal Thakur wishes to work with Shah Rukh Khan in a film which will be the “best cult romantic film of Bollywood”

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Mrunal expressed her desire to work with Shah Rukh Khan in a romantic film. “I am in love with Shah Rukh Khan. He has that charm. If I ever get to work with him I don’t know if I would even perform or just end up looking at him. I really wish to work with SRK in a nice romantic number like all the 2000s movies like Kal Ho Na Ho, Main Hoon Na, Veer Zaara, all the SRK films. I don’t see all those romantic movies being made in this era,” she expressed.

“I want to be a part of a movie with SRK where it is really passionately romantic. You remember Roja (1992), what a beautiful film it was. It was just the way they looked at each other. I think that treatment is not happening now. It’s just like too bold now and everybody is really like even the characters that we play, they are ready to jump onto each other and start kissing,” she added. She added that she wishes to work with Shah Rukh Khan in a film that will be the “best cult romantic film ever made in the Bollywood industry”.

Meanwhile, Mrunal who will be seen in films like Toofaan, Jersey, Aankh Micholi, and Pippa has also been getting offers from the south film industry. There have also been reports of her being roped in for a Telugu film starring Dulquer Salmaan. “I do have a lot of offers coming up now from the South. I would love to enter into it but I think it is too soon to comment on anything. I just feel like the shooting process needs to begin and the first film I am going to shoot is Pippa which is I don’t know when. Opportunities will come when things open up after the pandemic. Yes, I am open to other languages as well. I am open for Spanish, French, let’s go outside India as well,” she said.
